Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding Frequently Asked Questions

When planning for your wedding, there are tons of questions! I use questionnaires and email communication to help my couples have a day that represents them and their values. Questions I am frequently asked are answered here to help you in your search for a wedding photographer!

How would you describe your style?

Your venue is the special place where you both will make one of the most significant commitments of your life. As such I allow the natural qualities of your venue to permeate your images. I enjoy working with couples who laugh a lot, enjoy the simple things in life, and those who find the most joy in the friends and family present. My photo style is timeless, rich and clean tones with a good mixture of fun and romance using lush natural settings and infused with warm sunlight.

What are your rates?

My pricing information is located here

How do we book & pay?

The contract must be signed along with a $500 retainer to reserve the date. You may choose a package up until the week before your wedding but most stay with their package selection at signing.

Do you have any limits on coverage time or the number of photos taken on the wedding day?

I never put any limit on the number of photos I take. Most of my clients need between 6-12 hours of coverage depending on logistics of the day, ceremony happenings and such.

How many photos do we get?

I typically deliver 30-100 photos per hour of wedding coverage depending on the size and scope of the wedding day and what part of the day I am photographing.

How do we get that fancy wedding album?

Albums may be pre ordered or purchased after your wedding. I will be showing you a sample of your album so you can decide that it is the perfect way to enjoy your wedding day for decades to come.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

My favorite part of any outdoor wedding day is people watching. There is a unique excitement and low stress atmosphere that comes with an outdoor wedding. I love the fresh air and it seems most others do as well. Whether it’s tears or laughter, cheers or sadness from the memory of a family member who couldn’t be there, that’s where the best pictures are! What will future generations of the family think of these images we’ve created together? That’s the question I am asking every time I pick up my camera.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I love new scenery! I am excited to document a few select outdoor wedding celebrations each year anywhere in the United States! Whether your wedding is in the greater PNW, or across the country, I am your photographer. We can work on the logistics of costs together.

Are all of our photos edited?

I give you your best images so you wont have to sift through closed/ half blinking eyes, duplicates, or any other photo that is not useful/ flattering to your story. All remaining photos are personally edited for color, exposure, and composition just like the feel you see on this website.

How do we receive our photos?

You will receive fully edited high-resolution JPEG images up to 2 months after your wedding via an online gallery. The gallery provides a place for you and family to order professional prints and wall art as well as have access to your photos. You can download these files too! Technically I am still the owner of the images, but again you’re welcome to download and use them as much as you would like. Since I personally create the albums, they must be ordered directly through me.

Do you take wedding day family portraits?

Sure do! These are special record photos. I aim to keep poses quick and natural to keep everyone relaxed and more importantly, get you back to the party!

Can my uncle take photos during my wedding ceremony?

Personally, I want my uncle to be watching me get married and participating in the day but that’s up to you!
